We learned that we must always forgive others, even if they need forgiving many times. Jesus taught Peter to forgive "until seventy times seven" times, which we decided meant to forgive always.
We talked about how it would feel to eat Thanksgiving dinner with somebody that we hadn't forgiven. We would be too busy being angry to feel grateful. We need to forgive others so that we can feel happy and remember our blessings, rather than remembering what somebody did to upset us.
We made Thanksgiving Turkeys to help us remember to be grateful and forgiving this week. One of the children observed that it was the first time Sister Combs has brought glue to class all year. . .it may be the last, too! On the other hand, who knows what fun things we will do in the next five weeks?
