S'mores Cookie Bars (adapted from BettyCrocker.com)
1 package Sugar Cookie Mix
about 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 stick butter, melted
2 eggs
about 2 cups milk chocolate pieces (chips or whatever else you have in the house)
4-5 cups miniature marshmallows
Mix together the first four ingredients. Spread into a 9"x13" pan lined with parchment paper.
Bake in 350-degree oven for 15-20 minutes, until set.
Remove bars from oven and immediately top with milk chocolate bits. Give the chocolate a minute or so to soften, then cover with mini marshmallows.
Set oven to broil. Put bars under the broiler until marshmallows reach the desired state of gooeyness and/or brownness. Remove from oven and allow to cool for at least 30 minutes. Cut into 24 bars, cleaning off the knife as needed to remove gooey marshmallow and chocolate fragments.
The children were very confused as to why Jesus' friends did not recognize him. We talked about how they all thought he was dead and did not expect to see him alive again. We also noticed that he was wearing a hooded cape on the road, so it might have been harder to see who he was.
We had our choice of two pictures today: a family learning about Christmas and a Primary class learning about the Temple, because both of these remind us of our Savior Jesus Christ.
