Step 1: Believe in and learn about Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father
We discussed each step, at the same time placing a footprint (cut out by Emily) on the floor, leading to a picture of a child being baptized. After we had discussed all the steps, the children took turns walking the path and saying what each footprint represented. By the time everyone had had a turn, they had memorized most of the steps!
Our coloring options included the version of the six steps printed in the manual, plus a picture of a girl being baptized and one of a boy being baptized. Baptism is still far in the future when you are five or six years old, but it was fun to learn more about how to prepare.
