We had grapes and miniature muffins for a snack, which were very yummy and nutritious. Since the Primary Room air conditioning is nonfunctional again, it was good to have something cold to eat after sitting in the heat for a while. Fortunately, our classroom is still cool and comfortable.
treasure
means. The children initially thought of pirate's gold or other kinds of money, but then we discussed that a treasure can be anything that is precious to us. Each of them thought of a stuffed animal or toy that they really liked. Then we learned that there is something more valuable than any money or possession--the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We learned that many of Jesus' teachings are in the scriptures, but he also speaks to us today through the prophet. Jesus tells the prophet what we need to know, and then he tells us. We talked about Joseph Smith's First Vision, when he was instructed by Heavenly Father and Jesus not to join any of the churches.
