Hero Arts challenged everyone to make cards inspired by something around the house, so I made some lovely mixer cards! Baking is one of the best stay-at-home activities ever. I made six of these and used up an entire 12x12 sheet of fancy patterned paper, beside some small pieces of grey and colored paper for the mixers, which have a little added glitter.

It's time to send Easter cards, or in this case, spring cards. The roll of Happy Easter washi tape in the stash will add a festive touch to the insides and/or envelopes. Perhaps my next goal should be to use up at least one of the approximately 100 rolls of washi tape?
A simple-ish Christmas card, using the last of the gold stripey paper. Just a few more smallish pieces of paper left from the 6x6 stack!
A looser interpretation of the sketch than the previous card, but it should still work. The silver foil paper and "winter wishes" element came from a Martha Stewart Christmas paper pad that was surprisingly inexpensive on Amazon. And a few sparkles never go amiss!
Another Tuesday-morning last-minute challenge entry complete!
I really liked this gingerbread cookie paper, so kept the rest of the card fairly simple. I did add a few sparkles to some of the cookies with my Wink of Stella brush pen, but it is hard to see them in the photograph.
In January, I stumbled across the ABC Christmas Challenge, which has monthly alphabetical card challenges. I share the philosophy that it is easier to make a few Christmas cards periodically than to do many at once, so it has been fun to check out the blog and try to come up with things that fit the categories. This one was initially designed to fit G is for Gold, but it also qualifies as F is for Freebie. The Christmas tree nesting die set was a Christmas present. When I opened it, we discovered that Amazon had accidentally sent two sets of the dies, because the packaging had stuck together. The customer service representative told me to keep the second set, which has been very convenient for cutting out lots of trees at once! I'm assuming that the trees for this card and its twin were cut using one of the free dies. :)
A happy little card for a happy little girl's birthday! This fulfills the conditions for this month's Birthday Project Challenge (create a birthday card with hearts), and the sentiment strip also qualifies for my Use It Up Challenge, which was on hiatus during Solo & Ensemble season. With this morning's card, that's three in one day--a new record! Hooray for Spring Break crafting!
This took far longer than expected, but now I have a card to send to someone spacey. Maybe next time I will not wait until three hours before the deadline to make a card for a sketch challenge!
This week's MFT sketch was a bit of a puzzle until I remembered these little doggies. A little fussy cutting and some coordinating paper later, here are Pugs and Kisses.
